Pestyakovsky District ( Russian: Пестяковский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district ( raion), one of the twenty-one in Ivanovo Oblast, Russia. [1] It is located in the southeast of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,100 square kilometers (420 sq mi).[ citation needed] Its administrative center is the urban locality (a settlement) of Pestyaki. [1] Population: 5,015 ( 2021 Census); [6] 7,160 ( 2010 Russian census); [2] 8,629 ( 2002 Census); [7] 9,660 ( 1989 Soviet census). [8] The population of Pestyaki accounts for 61.8% of the district's total population. [2]
