Pani [1]( transl. Job) is an upcoming 2024 Malayalam language Romantic action thriller film written and directed by Joju George. The film was jointly produced by M Riaz Adam and Sijo Vadakkan under the banners of Appu Pathu Pappu and AD Studios. Appu Pathu Pappu is a production company owned by Joju George and the film stars Joju George, Abhinaya, Sagar Surya, Junaiz VP, Abhaya Hiranmayi, Seema, Chandini Sreedharan, Prashanth Alexander, Sujith Shankar and Rinosh George. The team announced that this film will feature over 40 new faces.
The film was officially announced in October 2024. [2] Principal Photography commenced on 9 October 2024 in Thrissur, Kerala. [3] The film features music and background score composed by Vishnu Vijay and Sam C. S.

The film marks the directorial debut of Joju George. [5] On December 16, 2023, Joju George announced his collaboration with several newcomers for this project. M Riaz Adam and Sijo Vadakkan jointly produced the movie under the banner of Appu Pathu Pappu. [6] Renowned cinematographer Venu ISC, known for classics in Malayalam cinema such as Godfather and Vietnam Colony, joined the team to handle cinematography, while prominent editor Manu Antony was assigned to editing duties.
After the success of Antony, Joju George was signed to direct and play a lead role in this film. Some of the major cast members were selected from Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 5, [7] such as Sagar Surya and Junaiz VP. Abhinaya plays the female lead in this movie. The cast also includes Abhaya Hiranmayi, Seema, Chandini Sreedharan, Prashanth Alexander, Sujith Shankar in prominent roles. [8]
The principal photography began on October 9, 2023, with a puja ceremony. It took more than 100 days to complete the shoot, wrapping up on February 27, 2024. Shooting took place in and around Thrissur, Kerala. [9]
The first look [10] poster of the film was released on May 2. Later, The cast was eventually revealed through social media posts. The promotions for the film began in late June and the trailer has yet to be released.
The music and original background score for this film was composed by Vishnu Vijay and Sam C. S., who is known for Vikram Vedha and Kaithi. [11] Muhsin Parari penned the lyrics for all the songs in the film.
The film is currently in the midst of its promotional campaign, [12] and Pani is projected to be released in September 2024. [13]
