Oscar Efrén Reyes (June 13, 1896, Baños – December 6, 1966, Quito), was a historian, journalist, politician, researcher and an Ecuadorian teacher. He is remembered for his teachings as well as his historic research of Ecuador and America.[ clarification needed]
Reyes was born in Baños, Tungurahua Province on June 13, 1896, the only child of María Petronila Reyes Noboa. [1] [2] [3] His father was an arriero (muleteer).
