Platevindex is a genus of air-breathing sea slugs, a shell-less marine pulmonate gastropod mollusks in the family Onchidiidae. [1] [2]
Platevindex slugs live in intertidal habitats of the Indo-West Pacific. Most Platevindex species are found in mangrove forests, but some species may be found in salt marshes or on coral rubble near mangrove trees. [2] These slugs are characterized by their dorso-ventrally flattened body and a very narrow foot.[ citation needed]
