On Yixing Teapots [a] ( Chinese: 陽羨 茗壺 ; pinyin: Yángxiàn Mínghú Xì; Wade–Giles: Yang2-hsien4 Ming2-hu2 Hsi4; with Yangxian being a Qin Dynasty name for Yixing [2]) is a treatise on Yixing clay teapots [2] written by Ming Dynasty author Zhou Gaoqi [2] (Chou Kao-chi; 周高起; d. 1644–45 [2]) in the Chongzhen era [2] ca. 1640. In this book, Zhou provides a detailed account of the origin and history of Yixing teapots, followed by an account of the great masters and their disciples.
