On Yixing Teapots ^[a] ( Chinese: 陽羨 茗壺 系; pinyin: Yángxiàn Mínghú Xì; Wade–Giles: Yang²-hsien⁴ Ming²-hu² Hsi⁴; with Yangxian being a Qin Dynasty name for Yixing ^[2]) is a treatise on Yixing clay teapots ^[2] written by Ming Dynasty author Zhou Gaoqi ^[2] (Chou Kao-chi; 周高起; d. 1644–45 ^[2]) in the Chongzhen era ^[2] ca. 1640. In this book, Zhou provides a detailed account of the origin and history of Yixing teapots, followed by an account of the great masters and their disciples.
