The Nureongi, also known as the Korean Yellow Spitz, is a common, spitz-type dogs with yellowish coloring endemic to the Korean peninsula. [1] [2] The term is the transliteration of the Korean word 누렁이; lit. yellow one. [2]

There are several uses of the word nureongi: [3]

  1. A yellow object or animal.
  2. A dog or cow with yellow fur.
  3. Golden.
