The northern black-throated trogon (Trogon tenellus), also known as the graceful black-throated trogon, [2] is a bird in the trogon family, Trogonidae. It breeds in lowlands from southeast Honduras to northwest Colombia. [3] It has a yellow belly, pale blue eyerings and a yellow bill. Like all trogons, the northern black-throated trogon has distinct sexual dimorphism. Male has a greenish-blue upperpart, while female has a brown one. [4] It was previously considered conspecific with other black-throated trogons. [3]
