No. 9 Squadron (Wolfpack) is a fighter squadron and is equipped with Mirage 2000 and based at Gwalior AFS under Central Air Command. [1]

History

In July 1947, then Squadron Leader Asghar Khan was a member of the Air Force Reconstitution Committee and insisted the squadron be transferred to the soon to be Royal Pakistan Air Force. The original No. 9 Squadron was allocated to the RPAF after the Partition of British India. [2]

No. 9 Squadron RIAF was formed on 15 August 1947.
