Niederösterreichische Nachrichten (also known as Lower Austrian News and abbreviated as LAN) is a regional weekly newspaper published in St. Pölten, Lower Austria. [1]
NÖN was started in 1965 following the merger of several local newspapers. [2] The paper is published weekly [3] and is part of the NÖN Niederösterreichische Nachrichten company. [4] Its publisher is Niederösterreichisches Pressehaus. [5] The paper is based in St. Pölten [5] and provides mostly local news, [6] serving Lower Austria. [7] As of 2011 Walter Fahrnberger and Daniel Lohninger were the editors-in-chief of the paper. [8]
