Anna "Nesey" Gallons (born 1984 [1]) is an American solo recording artist associated with the Elephant 6 Collective, and a former member of the bands Circulatory System [2] and the Music Tapes. [3] [4] Gallons also works as a producer and engineer, including on the Music Tapes' album Music Tapes for Clouds and Tornadoes, Julian Koster's The Singing Saw at Christmastime, Circulatory System's album Signal Morning, [5] and the Hot New Mexicans' eponymous LP. [6]

In 2014, Gallons debuted as an actress in the film Present. [7]

Personal life

Gallons is an omnisexual trans woman [8] and uses she/they pronouns. [9] In 2020, she stated "All forms of human sexuality just kinda make me throw up in my mouth and I’d rather just not think about it. So I seem to have a few asexual bones in my body too!" [10] Gallons has post-traumatic stress disorder and bipolar disorder. [8] She identifies as an anarchist and "practice[s] ethical non-monogamy very selectively." [8] She has two children with her husband, who is also transgender. [8]

On July 9, 2024, Gallons accused fellow Elephant 6 member Julian Koster of sexually assaulting and grooming her between 2001 and 2005, beginning when she was fifteen years old and Koster was in his late twenties. He confirmed that he had been in a relationship with Gallons during this time period, but denied her other allegations and accused both Gallons and her husband of several years of "intimidation, manipulation, and abuse" towards him. [8]
