National symbols of Slovakia are the flag of Slovakia, the coat of arms of Slovakia, the state seal of Slovakia [ sk] and the Slovak anthem. These are protected by law and have restrictions on their use and reproduction. [1]The Slovak flag and coat of arms derive from that used by the Kingdom of Hungary in the 12th century under the reign of Bela III. [2]
