Myasozharivka ( Ukrainian: Мясожарівка; Russian: Мясожаровка; until 2016 Artemivka (Артемівка)) is a village ( selo) in Svatove Raion ( district) in Luhansk Oblast of eastern Ukraine, located 141.24 kilometres (87.76 mi) northwest ( NW) of the centre of Luhansk city. It belongs to Kolomyichykha rural hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine.
The village was founded in 1953 under the original name of Artemivka. In 2016, the name of the village was decommunised and renamed Myasozharivka.
During the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, the village was captured by Russian Forces. On 24 October 2022, the Armed Forces of Ukraine recaptured the village. [2] [3]
Renewed Russian attacks continued in June 2024. [4] [5]
The Ukrainian General Staff reported on June 11 and 12 that Russian forces conducted unsuccessful attacks northeast of Kupyansk near Synkivka and Petropavlivka; southeast of Kupyansk near Pishchane; northwest of Svatove near Berestove and Myasozharivka; northwest of Kreminna near Druzhelyubivka, Hrekivka, and Nevske; west of Kreminna near Torske; and southwest of Kreminna in the Serebryanske forest area.
