Mohammadabad ( Persian: محمدآباد) [a] is a city in the Central District of Jarqavieh County, Isfahan province, Iran, serving as the administrative center for Jarqavieh Sofla Rural District. [4]

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 4,391 in 1,093 households, when it was in the former Jarqavieh Sofla District of Isfahan County. [5] The following census in 2011 counted 4,549 people in 1,295 households. [6] The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 5,032 people in 1,482 households. [2]

In 2021, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Jarqavieh County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with the city of Nikabad as its capital. Mohammadabad and the rural district were transferred to the new Central District. [7]
