Miss Naomi Carter is a British drag performer who competed on series 5 of RuPaul's Drag Race UK.
Miss Naomi Carter is a drag performer; her name was inspired by Naomi Campbell and Beyoncé (Carter), [1] [2] and she has said the "Miss" is "to let the boys know that [she's] single". [3] She has been the resident drag queen for Propaganda and Fuel in Hull. [4]
Miss Naomi Carter competed on series 5 of RuPaul's Drag Race UK. She was the first contestant of Gambian heritage to compete on any Drag Race franchise. [5] She had been doing drag for approximately five years, [6] and was cast after applying to be on the show three times. [7] On the second episode, Miss Naomi Carter placed in the bottom two and won the lip sync against Alexis Saint-Pete. [8] For the girl group challenge, she was a member of The M52s, with Banksie, Ginger Johnson, and Kate Butch. Prior to the performance, Miss Naomi Carter injured her knee on the set, forcing her to use a couch while other danced around her. [9] Ginger Johnson "played" Miss Naomi Carter's leg like a saxophone. [10] On the fourth episode, Miss Naomi Carter placed in the bottom two and was eliminated from the competition after losing a lip sync against Cara Melle to Yazz's " The Only Way Is Up". Her exit line was, "See you in a bit, dog shit!" [11]
