Mir Mehdi Etimad (1900 – 1981) was an Azerbaijani poet and writer, the author of the words of the hymn of the Azerbaijan People's Government.

After learning Arabic and Persian languages he stuied at the Mirza Abulqasim Khan's usuli jadid (modern) school. [2] He finished his high education at the "Talibiyya madrasa".
