The Ministry of Labour and Foreign Employment[2] (
Sinhala: කම්කරු හා විදේශ රැකියා අමාත්යාංශය;
Tamil: தொழில் மற்றும் வெளிநாட்டு வேலைவாய்ப்பு அமைச்சு) is the
central governmentministry of
Sri Lanka responsible for
labour,
foreign employment services and development of
Petroleum Resources. The ministry is responsible for formulating and implementing national policy on labour and other subjects which come under its purview.[3] The current Minister of Labour and Foreign Employment is
Manusha Nanayakkara.[1] The ministry's
secretary is S. M. Gotabaya Jayaratna.[4]
