The Microstromataceae are a family of fungi in the class Exobasidiomycetes. The family was circumscribed by Swiss mycologist Walter Jülich in 1986. [1] Microstromataceae contains two genera ( Microstroma and Sympodiomycopsis), which collectively contain five species. [2]
