Melvin G. Carter (born c. 1965) is a United States Marine Corps major general who serves as the deputy director for combat support of the Cybersecurity Directorate of the National Security Agency. He previously served as the deputy chief for computer network operations of the NSA. [2]
Carter was reportedly picked for promotion to lieutenant general and assignment as deputy commandant for information of the Marine Corps. [3] In May 2024, his nomination was sent to the Senate. [4]
