Melissochori ( Greek: Μελισσοχώρι), known before 1926 as Baldzha ( Greek: Μπάλτζα), is a village and a community of the Oraiokastro municipality. [2] Before the 2011 local government reform it was part of the municipality of Mygdonia, of which it was a municipal district. [2] The 2021 census recorded 3,437 inhabitants in the village. [1] The community of Melissochori covers an area of 37.561 km2. [3]
