Yesterday, I added the Meta programming language to a few lists of programming languages that other languages influenced. I saw that several entries were removed, so I had the following discussion about it with the editor:

https://de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benutzer_Diskussion:מקף#Your_removal_of_the_Meta_programming_language_as_influenced_by_the_Logo_programming_language

Today, following those directions, I wanted to add the entries as references with a footnote, but found that the referenced link is blacklisted.

This is unfortunate, because the link is to the official project of a legitimate programming language that descends from those other programming languages, as described on its site:

Link requested to be whitelisted: www.change.org/p/woollahra-municipal-council-save-gaden-house-neville-gruzman-s-modernist-masterpiece-in-sydney-s-east The petition above was an important social instrument that successfully saved the Gaden House building in Sydney, Australia from significant changes. The petition is an important part of the history of the building. The link will help the Gaden House section on wiki page Neville Gruzman. payravi.xyz

Link requested to be whitelisted: payravi.xyz

This is a personal request. The RealMe extension was recently added to Wikipedia, allowing users to verify external profile links on their user page (namely Mastodon). My personal Mastodon server and profile is located at payravi.xyz, and I'd like to link it from my userpage. The entire .xyz TLD is (very reasonably) currently blacklisted on Wikipedia. Thank you! ~ SuperHamster Talk Contribs 14:56, 31 May 2023 (UTC) reply

mara.xyz

Link requested to be whitelisted: https://www.mara.xyz/

For Mara_(technology_company). This is the legitimate site of the company. xyz domains are increasingly in use by legitimate crypto companies, so the entire TLD should not be blacklisted. Thank you. Gr33nshorts ( talk) 22:11, 31 May 2023 (UTC) reply

Not done. A company's choice to use a blacklisted TLD is not Wikipedia's problem. There is already a link to the website on the article, which redirects to mara.xyz. I see nothing that needs to change. If you want to argue for removal of the .xyz TLD from the blacklist, present your case at MediaWiki Talk:Spam-blacklist. ~ Anachronist ( talk) 04:27, 14 June 2023 (UTC) reply

Not done. We generally don't link to blogs, and that blog article doesn't really contain more useful information than the official documentation from Google. Alternative sources exist, so there is no reason to whitelist this one. ~ Anachronist ( talk) 19:03, 14 June 2023 (UTC) reply

Not done. I cannot see this as a valid reason for whitelisting a "buy it here" page. For discussion purposes, you can always use the plaintext link www.lulu.com/shop/douglas-a-vakoch/archaeology-anthropology-and-interstellar-communication/paperback/product-zrdzpz.html and people can paste that into the browser address bar. ~ Anachronist ( talk) 19:05, 14 June 2023 (UTC) reply

This website is a reliable source for all cricketing information, and can facilitate for many cricket related articles, I tried using it for Stephen Fleming page, and the popup showed that it was under its blacklist website. So please put it under whitelist, as it helps for referencing in cricket pages. User:Cric editor User talk:Cric editor 1:38, 12 June 2023 (UTC)

Not done. @ Cric editor: We whitelist links to specific pages, not whole sites. You are basically requesting blacklist removal, and this page is the wrong venue for that sort of request. Or if you have a specifi page to propose, such as an "about" page, then we could whitelist that. ~ Anachronist ( talk) 04:22, 14 June 2023 (UTC) reply

I was reading an article about immature personality disorder or emotional immaturity and I go forward to the first result of Google other than Wikipedia was depressionals.com's article which was quite interesting to read and I was about to mention the resources on Wikipedia's page about immature personality disorder and the bot resisted me to add that and apparently found that the link was banned. I think this ban should be lifted because the site has many meaningful contents related to that disorder.

Not done. You posted this in a section about re-blocking a currently whitelisted link. If you are requesting removal of a site from the blacklist, see MediaWiki Talk:Spam-blacklist. @ Nyxaros: The archive link is clearly not blacklisted. What prevents you from using it? ~ Anachronist ( talk) 19:06, 14 June 2023 (UTC) reply
Yes, but it states "Blacklisting indicates past problems with the link, so any requests should clearly demonstrate how inclusion would benefit Wikipedia. The following link has triggered a protection filter: about.com Either that exact link, or a portion of it (typically the root domain name) is currently blocked." So it doesn't allow the archive link to be used. ภץאคгöร 09:24, 15 June 2023 (UTC) reply

no Declined, this is not a reliable source for anything. The specific link you were trying to add was to a commercial pitch page. Given your other additions recently, it would be a poor idea to remove this from the blacklist. Sam Kuru (talk) 11:35, 27 June 2023 (UTC) reply

youtu.be

I'd like to allow the inclusion of a you tube video which is original, unedited, archival CBS news footage filmed during the heat of the battle of Hamburger Hill. I'd like to add an external source link at there bottom of this page: Battle of Hamburger Hill
The video link is: www.youtu.be/5bqrTl76a4k
or www.youtube.com/watch?v=5bqrTl76a4k
I apologise but I do not really understand how to do the link summary you've requested. I only know to try to copy and paste what you entered: youtube.com: Linksearch en (insource) - meta - de - fr - simple - wikt:en - wikt:frSpamcheckMER-C X-wikigs • Reports: Links on en - COIBot - COIBot-Local • Discussions: tracked - advanced - RSN • COIBot- Link, Local, & XWiki Reports - Wikipedia: en - fr - de • Google: searchmeta • Domain: domaintoolsAboutUs.com
This is first-hand, historic material including on the spot interviews with commanding officers Lt. Col Hunnicut and Maj. Collier, both discussing the ongoing battle. I recognise the need to ban you tube in general but this is an unusual video which I can't find anywhere else.
Thanks, b-boyben

Not done First of all, youtube.com is not blacklisted. youtu.be, a url shortner, and is blacklisted along with most other url shorteners. Secondly, the video you're attempting to add appears to be copyrighted by CBS and linking to it would violate our copyright policy. OhNoitsJamie Talk 04:48, 23 June 2023 (UTC) reply
