I'm not sure I see the need for the request to check the article for vandalism. In my experience, the amount of vandalism that slips through the net due to the subsequent editor missing it is very small indeed, and the clutter of this extra text just makes people less likely to read it in my opinion. So, I'd like to remove it. Any thoughts? Worldtraveller 15:04, 10 October 2005 (UTC)
How about making it more graphical like the french one? ~~ EBE123~~ talk Contribs 12:00, 25 March 2011 (UTC)
This sounds stupid. Could you reword it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.224.67.245 ( talk) 18:44, 1 May 2011 (UTC)
I missed the debate so my input is a little late, but I want to make it clear that I oppose this change. A five line colored box is distracting and space consuming, and I don't see any evidence in the discussion that newcomers are actually confused by this. In any case, such a large, one time use alert box must be able to be turned off. I have manually disabled the mw-alerte class for my own use, and recommend that this new alert message be removed until this is made a standard option. I do not find it particularly distracting, myself. --User:Ceyockey ( talk to me) 02:07, 3 May 2011 (UTC)
How do I hide this hideous and completely unnecessary text for experienced editors? I need the Monobook css. RedWolf ( talk) 05:23, 3 May 2011 (UTC)
