{{ editprotected}} Should this not say report to a developer rather than to an administrator? It is referring to reporting possible bugs in the software. (I believe this change to be uncontroversial, but feel free to remove the {{ editprotected}} tag if you oppose the change.) —  Alan 08:05, 19 August 2008 (UTC) reply

Suggested change to the message, as it does not only appear for deleted pages

{{Mediawikiedit}}

The current message suggests that the page has been deleted, but this is not always the case. It should also mention links to deleted or incorrect diffs, something like "Other possible causes are an incorrect URL, or deleted revisions in an existing page." — Snigbrook 17:23, 13 October 2008 (UTC) reply

Bug note

The latest edit links to the deletion log, but there's a bug in the extension used to generate the URL. Reported at Bugzilla #18794. I've left the code in pending a fix, as bugs like this often get fixed quite quickly. FT2 ( Talk |  email) 01:47, 14 May 2009 (UTC) reply

There's no fix yet, so could you remove the broken bit for now? — Emufarmers( T/ C) 05:59, 19 August 2009 (UTC) reply

Note about software bug

Revisions from early 2005 that are affected by bug 20757 now display this error message. I've therefore added a note about the bug to MediaWiki:Missing-article, which has made the message somewhat more clunky. My note should be removed when the bug is fixed. The bug has now been fixed for the English Wikipedia. Graham 87 05:11, 11 February 2010 (UTC) reply
