Spam from at least 3 different IPs. OhNoitsJamie Talk 21:34, 30 November 2022 (UTC)

Slow sneaky spam campaign. OhNoitsJamie Talk 01:23, 5 December 2022 (UTC)
This site had managed to spam many occult-related articles, primarily by replacing valid book citations with abbreviated links to the book text posted on the site (possible copyvio issues?) or by adding external links to articles. Over time, I've replaced these spam links with full book citations or links to material on the more reputable site, Internet Sacred Text Archive, but since the site seems to be an advert farm, it'd be nice to keep them from doing the same again. It's a url shortening service which I regularly use. It's just a redirecting service to other site or page. Some spammers might here have abused using this site's service by linking back to their actual spam sites or pages but that doesn't mean this domain is the cause of spamming. Consider other tons of url shortening or redirecting services out there and check their domain ages or site's archived history. if they've been around long enough and not looking like a fly by night type site then shouldn't be blacklisted. this is a photo site and portfolio with press info im trying to list as an external link to a wiki page im making. im guessing something about the .xyz url is the problem? the link is useful as it shows more of the notability of who i am writing about.
Back when these were handled by edit filter 554 ( hist · log), there was a custom message (see MediaWiki:abusefilter-top100) explaining why these charts weren't allowed for use. Can we somehow get that over here? I don't think this should use the default blacklist message here. 137a ( talk) 15:00, 13 December 2022 (UTC)

Kevinshoo started with the typical grammar checker edits mixed with citespam pattern. After a warning, they moved on to sockpuppet accounts. All socks like to blank warnings from their talk pages. Not every sock has spammed all the domains, but overlap is enough to convince me. - MrOllie ( talk) 15:03, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
Most recent activity is ravellawfirm and esmartprints. These are tied together by the IPv6 /64 block, which is a spam-only range. Note that the PatriciaGray03 socking and logged out editing is likely evasion of the block on Jamescurtis21. - MrOllie ( talk) 22:16, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
After getting blocks on Pecoinvestment and Rocky codr, has moved on to logged out spamming. IP ranges probably have too much other activity for range blocking. - MrOllie ( talk) 13:23, 20 December 2022 (UTC)
Dear Wikipedia community,
I am writing to request that my website, pakorangi, be unlisted from the Wikipedia blacklist. My website has been listed on the blacklist for the past 1 year and I believe it is no longer necessary for it to remain on the list.
I understand that my website was originally placed on the blacklist due to concerns about the credibility and reliability of the information it contained. However, I have since made significant efforts to improve the quality and accuracy of the content on my website. I have also implemented stricter editorial guidelines and fact-checking procedures to ensure that all information is well-researched and verifiable.
In addition, I have made an effort to engage with the Wikipedia community and address any concerns or issues that may have led to my website being placed on the blacklist in the first place. I have provided references and sources for all of the information on my website, and I am willing to work with Wikipedia editors to ensure that any information that may be considered questionable is properly sourced and verified.
I believe that my website is now a reliable and credible source of information, and I respectfully request that it be unlisted from the Wikipedia blacklist. I am confident that my website can contribute valuable information to Wikipedia articles and I am committed to maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy. Thank you for considering my request. Sincerely, Arif — Preceding unsigned comment added by 182.189.120.17 ( talk) 09:43, December 29, 2022 (UTC)
