Matthew Watson, commonly known as Mat Watson, is a British motor journalist. He is mainly known for presenting the U.K based company Carwow's official YouTube channel of the same name.
In 2013, Watson hosted the ITV4 programme I Want That Car alongside Rebecca Jackson. [2] [3] [4] [5]
Watson started making car videos for the Auto Express and Carbuyer YouTube channels. [5] Watson started his own YouTube channel under the name of Mat Watson Cars on April 25th, 2011. [6] In 2016, Watson left Carbuyer to start making videos for the UK online car marketplace site Carwow's YouTube channel. [5] [7] [8] He would later become Carwow's Chief Content Officer. [5] He still continues to create content on his personal YouTube channel. [5]
He studied Chemistry at University of Edinburgh, graduating with a BSc degree in Chemistry. His wife's name is Jo and they have a daughter called Grace.
