Nusspaumer has had principal roles in operas including La bohème, [10] Carmen, [11] Lucia di Lammermoor, [12] La traviata, [13] Madama Butterfly, [14] Eugene Onegin, [15] La battaglia di Legnano, [16] Don Giovanni, [17] " Thais, [18] Nabucco, [19] and L'elisir d'amore. He is also active in the zarzuela genre including Luisa Fernanda, [20] La tabernera del puerto, [21] Katiuska, la mujer rusa [ es] by Pablo Sorozábal, [22] and Cecilia Valdés [23] and has promoted this genre around the United States.
