Marco Secchi is an Italian photographer [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] and photo journalist. [6] [3] [7] He works for Getty Images, [7] worked for Corbis [8] and specializes in political and social events, establishing himself as a significant voice in visual storytelling, capturing pivotal moments and figures across the globe. Secchi was the mind and one of the founding members of the alternative photography collective, #Awakening. Secchi is a native of Venice, Italy, [15] although he has lived most of his youth in Milan, moving later to France, Switzerland, Scotland, The Isle of Scalpay, London [7] [16] and now lives in Slovenia and Hungary. He began his career as a photographer in 1980 and was inspired to do so by other photographers like Tullio Farabola, Gianni Berengo Gardin and Elliott Erwitt. [3] Over the course of his career, he has taken photographs of prominent events and people, including political figures like Pope Francis, [17] sportspeople like LeBron James [18] and Mike Tyson, [19] celebrities like George Clooney, [8] and royalty like Queen Elizabeth II.
