Machharala is a village in Dera Baba Nanak in Gurdaspur district of Punjab State, India. It is located 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) from sub district headquarter and 35 kilometres (22 mi) from district headquarter. The village is administrated by Sarpanch an elected representative of the village.
As of 2011 [update], The village has a total number of 88 houses and the population of 500 of which 280 are males while 220 are females. [2] According to the report published by Census India in 2011, out of the total population of the village 6 people are from Schedule Caste and the village does not have any Schedule Tribe population so far.
