M. Azizul Haq is a former inspector general of the Bangladesh Police [1] and a former adviser to the caretaker government of Bangladesh. He was in charge of the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development, Ministry of Shipping and Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism. [2] [3]

In July 1997, at the aftermath of the death of the film actor Salman Shah, Haq, as the then IGP, referred the case to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for further investigation. [4]

After his retirement from government service, Haq worked as management and financial consultant of Rupali Insurance Company till mid 2020. [5]
