She was a Deputy Minister of Public Works in the government of President Sebastián Piñera from 2010 to 2012. [3] In 2012 she was promoted to be the minister. [4]
Silva became the President of the directors of the national petroleum company Empresa Nacional del Petróleo (ENAP) in March 2018. [5] In addition she was a director of the law firm Bofill Escobar Silva Abogados and in 2019 she was appointed to the Barrick Gold Corporation. [4]
