For the first time, in the 2021 iteration of the chart, no rock albums released in 2021 make the top 200 best performing albums of the year in the US all-format Billboard200 chart, nor do any rock albums top the chart over the course of the year.[7] While the genre is noted to generally be in a state of decline, publications also note a resurgence in
