Later, Jack tells Ronnie that when he was a police officer, he caught a drug dealer who deliberately hit Penny with his car when she and Selina were waiting at a bus stop, causing Penny's spine to be severed. It is later revealed that it was due to Jack being a corrupt police officer and taking payment from a drugs baron in return for tip-offs. Edward invited him to be his guest when he collected his MBE from the Queen, but due to Lucy's disappearance, Ian was unable to attend.

In January 2009, Tunstall was reported to be involved in a scandal with a young man, mentioned in the Walford Gazette newspaper. It was then revealed that he stepped down from the role of councillor, and Peggy Mitchell was interested in becoming the councillor in the upcoming by-election. [8]

She represents Tanya in the divorce hearing on 14 February, although her assistant is bribed by Max to "lose" the incriminating DVD of him kissing Stacey and she has to change Tanya's reason for divorcing Max from "adultery" to "inappropriate behaviour". Stacey declined the offer as she did not want to have to move away from Walford.

Jalil Iqbal

Jalil Iqbal, played by Jan Uddin, was a family friend of the Masoods who appeared between 18 and 28 March 2008. Zainab invited him to stay with the family and work in the post office for a while, trying to set him up with her daughter, Shabnam.

Shabnam was initially against this, as she remembered Jalil as a "geek" from her childhood, though when she saw him, she was attracted to him. Zainab set the pair up with a romantic meal, listening in on their conversation using a baby monitor. Shabnam discovered that Jalil had a girlfriend, though Zainab saw a picture of her and said she was ugly, and that her make-up looked like it had been done by Edward Scissorhands. Shabnam later bumped into Jalil on a night out in R&R, where they flirted. Jalil and Shabnam shared a kiss in R&R on 27 March, but during a conversation with the Masood family, he said that he thought modern Muslim women like Shabnam provided "great entertainment" but were not marriage material. At Frank's wake it soon became clear that Melinda was only interested in what Frank had left to Ricky in his will. When it was discovered there was no financial gain, Melinda stormed off in a strop.

Morgan Jackson-King is a fictional character from the BBC One soap opera EastEnders, played by Devon Higgs. [10] Higgs was not credited in the role until 8 September 2009.[ citation needed]

He is the youngest son of Bianca Jackson ( Patsy Palmer). The man he thinks is his father, Tony King ( Chris Coghill) (though it has been confirmed that Tony is not his biological father) [11] served a prison sentence for assaulting a teenager who had allegedly threatened Morgan's stepsister, Whitney. [10]

He is described as "the most spoilt out of all of the kids. He's a boisterous, adventurous lad and can hold his own among Bianca's rabble. Morgan only eats chicken nuggets". [12]

Storylines

Morgan's first appearance is on 1 April 2008 when he, along with his mother Bianca Jackson, his half siblings Tiffany Dean ( Maisie Smith) and Liam Butcher ( James Forde), and his stepsister Whitney Dean ( Shona McGarty), are thrown out their house by their landlord. After initially spending a week in care, Morgan and the rest of his family move to Walford, where they begin living with his great-grandmother Pat Evans ( Pam St. Clement). The same week, a family party is held, where Morgan and his half-siblings meet the rest of their extended family.

In June 2008 Bianca attempted to enter Morgan into the 'Beautiful Baby Competition' held at The Queen Vic, but is forced to withdraw him, due to his age. A few days later, Morgan celebrates his third birthday by going to a restaurant with his mother, great-grandmother, half-siblings and Ricky Butcher ( Sid Owen), who buys him a toy truck for his birthday.

Despite initially being thought to be the son of Bianca's partner Tony King, it is discovered in September 2008 that this was not the case due to Morgan's ethnicity. Bianca reveals that Morgan was the result of a one-night stand she had with an unknown man but has always seen Tony as his father due to the fact that they got together during her pregnancy and has always been a consistent figure in Morgan's life.

Later that month Morgan becomes ill and is diagnosed by Dr. Poppy Merritt ( Amy Darcy) with chicken pox. This leads to Pat having to vacate the family home as she had never had the illness.

When Tony is arrested in December 2008 for having had a sexual relationship with Whitney, Morgan starts asking for his dad, leading the family to make up an excuse as they know that he will not understand what Tony had done.

In March 2010, Janine Butcher and Ryan Malloy use Morgan to raise money for their rent, pretending they are his parents and they are collecting money for a new playground.

He later appeared when Yolande Trueman tried to get Chelsea to bond with him, and he found cocaine in her handbag. Chelsea claimed it was sherbet but Jordan wasn't deceived and told her that their dad helps drug addicts.

Jordan reappeared on 26 June 2008 when he had forgotten his key to his father's flat, Yolande took him back to the B&B. Denise Wicks, Chelsea's mother, wasn't very pleased at all with the fact he was there but eventually enjoyed his company.

Jordan swears on the bible that he did not do it, so Lucas believes him, and he tells Phil that he thinks Ben did it. This eventually turns out to be true, and Ben reveals that Jordan has been bullying him, so Phil and Lucas leave them with Minty Peterson to help them bond. Brenda Boyle is a fictional character from the BBC One soap opera EastEnders, played by Carmel Cryan.

Brenda is a woman Jean Slater met on a dating website and started e-mailing on Charlie Slater's behalf. She visited Walford in June 2008, and Jean was forced to reveal the truth to an unsuspecting Charlie. Brenda later discovered the deception. She revealed that she is a member of the Salvation Army, and plays the horn. When Shirley Carter made a jokey off-hand comment about Charlie being a womaniser, Brenda left Walford, leaving her horn behind. She later gave Charlie a second chance when she collected it, and participated in a pub quiz with him and his family. She started a relationship with Charlie, and comforted him when he got a spray tan to impress her and it went wrong, leaving him orange. He later visited her in Clacton.

In August 2008, she bought Charlie a summerhouse for his allotment. However, when it arrived, the concrete flooring was smashed by Suzy Branning which looked like it would ruin Charlie's gift from Brenda. However, the following day, Charlie managed to sort the problem and the concrete would be re-laid again. She returned on 13 November 2008, to help raise money for Children in Need in the Queen Vic. She then walked out of the pub after Linda Clarke started flirting with Charlie. On 25 December 2008, Sean Slater sang the song Stop The Cavalry to Roxy as a Christmas present. Brenda and her friend accompanied him on the tube.

She didn't reappear until early March 2009, when Charlie shared his concerns with Patrick Trueman that his and Brenda's relationship was moving too slowly. Patrick told him to invite her to dinner and use candles to make it more romantic. Charlie also asked Winston for some romantic music but instead it was rather club like. After this Charlie gave her some drink but spilt it on Brenda and wiped it off her only to touch her breast and be interrupted by Danielle Jones. Finally after this, Brenda left and reassured Charlie that she had feelings for him but left the square with a worried look on her face.

On 6 March, Brenda was supposed to join Charlie in pottery class but she called him and told him she couldn't make it. This upset Charlie, making him leave the class and when getting back home, Mo Harris teased him about being stood up. On 7 April 2009, Brenda was seen by Mo with another man. Mo took a picture of them both together embracing; as evidence to show to Charlie. The man was later revealed to be Clive, her brother. He told her to tell Charlie about something before it is too late as it will be in two months. On 11 August 2009, Brenda announced to Charlie that she wanted to end their relationship. Mo had overheard the conversation, followed Brenda out of the house and confronted her. Brenda revealed that she would soon be emigrating, but promised to tell Charlie about her plans. A day later, Mo told Charlie, and Brenda confirmed she was moving to Madeira with her brother Clive, and his family. The couple decided to spend one last day together, and Brenda kept hinting to Charlie that she wanted to see more of him... in Madeira. Charlie got the hint at the last moment, and tried to stop the bus Brenda was leaving on. Brenda delayed leaving, and the next day, after having a farewell meal in the house, Stacey and Mo gave Charlie their blessing to go to Madeira with Brenda and the two of them left the Square in a taxi after receiving an emotional farewell. Whilst in Madeira, Charlie and Brenda end their relationship and he returns to London with another woman, Orlenda.

Poppy went to talk to her but Whitney didn't admit to being sexually abused by Bianca's partner, Tony, though she did tell her that she felt suicidal. The next day, Poppy left Bianca a message asking her to rearrange the psychiatrist's appointment after Whitney failed to attend.

Whilst serving time in prison, Nick received a letter from Sandy telling him that she had given birth to their daughter. Upon his early release from prison in April 2008, Nick took custody of Dotty, having told her that Sandy had died in a car crash.

Dotty arrives in Walford Christmas Day 2008 with her father Nick, to see his estranged mother Dot Branning. Nick introduces Dot to Dotty and they quickly bond. He lies to Dot that he had promised to send money to Sandy on the condition that she named their daughter Dorothy after her grandmother, so that Dot will trust him and bond with his daughter; Dot does not know Dotty's real name. After spending the night, Dotty begs Dot to let them stay longer. Dot lets them stay for the rest of the week. Dot soon discovers that Nick hasn't changed; he doesn't have a job and he and Dotty have been living rough. Nick says he will either put Dotty into care, or sell her to Dot for the money that Bradley Branning had given her. After serious consideration, she buys Dotty, to get her away from Nick.

Dotty learns that Dot has made a will, leaving all of her money to Dotty when she dies. She tells Nick, and they form a plan to kill Dot in order to inherit the money. They trick her into thinking she is suffering from dementia. Eventually, Nick tells Dotty to give Dot an overdose of her medication by crushing up the tablets and putting them in her tea. However, Dotty has had a change of heart, and gives the pills to Nick in his beer. When Nick learns of Dotty's double-crossing, He drags her to the café and holds everyone inside hostage. Dotty manages to escape along with most of the others, but the café explodes, and in the commotion, Nick escapes. Dotty tells Dot that Tiffany is not having a party and asks if they can invite her round. When they ask Tiffany's mother Bianca Jackson, Bianca invites them to Tiffany's party. The next day, Tiffany and Dotty lie so they do not have to go to school. Dotty takes Tiffany's bridesmaid's dress and MP3 player and runs away with them, throwing the MP3 player into a bin in the Square. Tiffany tries to get it and then Dotty pushes her in. When Max Branning sees her, saying she should be in school, she runs away. When Bianca realises Tiffany's dress is missing, Jack says he saw Dotty with something by the bins. Tiffany will not say how she got in the bins, so Bianca goes to see Dot, who says it is not like Dotty, who is a kind and gentle girl. Dotty tells Dot she knows nothing about the dress but Dot then finds it in Dotty's school bag. Dot returns the dress to Bianca without Dotty's knowledge. The next day, Dotty is left alone with Dot's husband Jim who is recovering from a stroke. She pours water on him to make it seem he has wet himself, but Dot catches her. Dotty says she hates them both and wishes that Nick had killed her. Dot smacks Dotty across the legs as Jim's granddaughter Sonia Fowler, who is visiting, walks in. Dot apologises, but Dotty manipulates her into letting her stay off school. After Dotty calls the police, Dot is arrested for assault and Sonia tells Dotty off for making it seem like she was an abused child. However, Dot is released without charge but is told to expect a visit from Social Services. When Dot returns home, Dotty apologises.

Dot receives a visit from Dotty's mother Sandy, who Dot assumes is from Social Services, but she is looking for her daughter Kirsty. Dot says she knows nobody of that name but realises it is Dotty when she sees a photo. Dot hides Sandy's visit from Dotty but later talks to Sandy about Dotty and her past. When she goes home, she asks Dotty about friends and family she used to have, but Dotty says Dot is the only family she needs. However, Dotty soon admits that she misses her mother, and Dot reveals that she is alive and Nick had lied to her. Dotty says she wants to see her mother, so Dot calls her. In May 2009 he closes down Stacey Slater's stall [1] and in September 2009 he closes it again and gives it to Ryan Malloy. In February 2010, Stacey and her friend Becca Swanson decide to set up a stall but Mr Lister turns them down as he does not like Stacey. Becca dresses up and pretends to be from Walford Council and tells Mr Lister that Stacey has lodged a complaint against him and makes legal threats. Mr Lister then gives Stacey her stall. In April 2010, Mr Lister is seen investigating Fatboy's van, as Fatboy is trying to sell T-shirts from the vehicle without a market license. In May 2010, Syed Masood asks Mr Lister if he can start a market stall, and Mr Lister suggests a mobile phone stall. [3] Jay later sneaks out and Tegs hands him a knife, which is found by Jay's father, Jase Dyer and his girlfriend Dawn Swann. The next day, the gang steal several packs of cigarettes from the Minute Mart. They harass Dot by making silent phone calls and knocking on her door and running away. [4] Tegs pulls a knife on Minty Peterson, who confronts the group of youths. After Jay criticises Tegs's harassment of Dot, they have a fight. After appearing to have reconciled their differences, Tegs is asked by his gang whether he is with them or Jay, at which point he stabs Jay in the leg, leaving him bleeding on the ground in the play park. Later, Jack finds a message on his answerphone from Selina, ranting about the birthday present. Ronnie answers the phone and meets with Selina. At the house, while talking to Selina about the circumstances of her and Jack's relationship, Penny enters the room in a wheelchair. Selina asks Ronnie if she knows why Penny is paralysed from the waist down. When Jack was unable to tip him off and he was arrested, one of his associates carried out the attack in revenge. Penny and Selina move to France where Selina's parents live. Penny visits her father in April 2008 and is cold towards Ronnie, preferring her aunt Tanya.

He booked R&R for a private function and met with the owners, Jack Branning and Ronnie Mitchell, neither of whom had read an e-mail from him explaining what he had booked the club for. He revealed that he was a naturist and that he wanted to hold a naked party in the club. Ronnie and Jack joked that they and the staff could join in. [6]

Roger "the Dodger" Grant, played by Max Gold, was a dodgy old friend of Mo Harris who sold some clothes to Stacey Branning for her stall on 5 February 2008. The actor Max Gold (brother of Louise Gold) previously played the part of Dougie Briggs in EastEnders. His casting as Roger was criticised by television critic Dek Hogan, as Gold had previously played "such an iconic role". [7]

Marni Merrick

Marni Merrick, played by Lisa Ellis, is a journalist from To Love and to Cherish magazine, who visited Minty Peterson for a photoshoot for the wedding competition he had entered with his ex-fiancée, Hazel.

Harriet Burgess

Harriet Burgess, played by Lucy Robinson, is Tanya Branning's divorce solicitor, who introduces herself to Max on 12 February 2008. She represents Tanya in the divorce hearing on 14 February, although her assistant is bribed by Max to "lose" the incriminating DVD of him kissing Stacey and she has to change Tanya's reason for divorcing Max from "adultery" to "inappropriate behaviour". Tanya loses her temper in court, and later gets drunk and phones Harriet.

She appears on 22 February when Tanya wants to get an injunction against Max after she suspects he spiked her drink. Harriet advises Tanya to smooth things over with Max or risk losing her children. She then appears 21 March so Tanya and Max could cancel their divorce proceedings.

Tina's bullying tactics failed and Tegs was sentenced to two years in a Young Offenders Institution.

Alex French, played by Pippa Hinchley, was the head of a construction site on George Street, who Bradley Branning approached to ask for a job on 6 March 2008. Although she could not offer Stacey a place at Walford college, as the course was oversubscribed, she offered to get Stacey a place at a college in Croydon.

Jordan Johnson is a fictional character from the BBC soap opera EastEnders, played by Michael-Joel David Stuart.

He is the son of Lucas Johnson and the half-brother of Chelsea Fox, who arrived on Chelsea's birthday with his father. [13] Lucas told Denise that Jordan's mother Trina had abandoned him shortly after he was born. He was in an incubator, addicted to heroin, as Trina was a drug addict.

On 1 August, Denise gave Jordan a lift home and brought him some fried chicken. Jordan explained that Lucas had told him everything about his teenage drug past and how Lucas' friend, Jordan, who he was named after, died after being shot.

On 12 December 2008, Lucas asked Denise to take Jordan to school as he had "something to do". Later that day, Jordan left the square with his father, Lucas, after locals blamed Lucas for Tony King being allowed to work with children. Jordan and Lucas returned a month later and stayed at the King George B&B before preparing to leave for Leeds.

After Denise proposed to Lucas, Jordan revealed to her that Lucas was married to his mother, Trina. Unknown to Jordan and Denise, in February 2009, his mother had turned up to find Lucas, who now knows his wife's whereabouts. She asked about Jordan and told Lucas that she is no longer a drug addict for their son's sake. However, he stated that he is now with Denise and is determined to marry her. He then contacted Trina about Denise's holiday arrangements and she comes to try to put a stop to it. Jordan later a friendship with Ben Mitchell and Abi Branning.

In May 2010, Ben dares Jordan to drink alcohol that Ben stole from his family's pub. Lucas catches him and threatens to get Ben's father Phil involved but Jordan insists it was his idea and nothing to do with Ben. Jordan is annoyed when he sees Ben's sister Louise kicking Trina's tree and she later blames him for locking her in a shed when it was actually Ben. After Minty leaves them alone, Jordan insults Ben, so Ben throws him to the ground and attacks him with a spanner, leaving him there. The next day he is found by Phil and taken to hospital where he is left in a coma with a fractured skull.

Brothers Clive

OccupationSolicitor

Kendra Hills-Smythe first appeared in Walford after being employed by Jack Branning to defend his partner Tanya in her upcoming case after she had been arrested for attempted murder on her estranged husband Max Branning. Despite promising Jack Tanya's freedom and helping her client in every way she could in order to see that she would be given bail, Kendra admitted to Jack that Tanya didn't stand a chance of getting released. This proved true when Tanya's bail application was denied later that day.

She later appeared on 1 December 2008, when she visited Tanya in prison to inform her that Max is concerned she is covering for Jack. However, this has been proven incorrect, although it has been revealed that Tanya is covering for Lauren.

On 2 January 2009, she returned to accompany Tanya in court, she asked Tanya to think about what her plea would be. When the truth about Lauren was revealed, she asked Kendra to contact social services because she felt that she will only make things worse for her family.

On 7 April 2009, she seemingly attended Lauren's court appearance.

Amy Christina Margaret Mitchell (née Slater) is the daughter of Roxy Mitchell and Jack Branning. However, for the first few weeks of her life, she was raised as the daughter of Roxy's husband Sean Slater as he and Jack were unaware of Amy's true paternity.

Amy was born two months premature and was put on a ventilator from birth. She is named after her presumed-deceased cousin (now known as Danielle Jones), the daughter of Roxy's sister, Ronnie. Her mother initially decided to raise Amy with her friend Christian Clarke, after Sean missed Amy's birth but changed her mind when she and Sean reconciled.

Jack asked Roxy for a paternity test, aware Amy may be his daughter. It transpired that this was so on Christmas Day 2008, [22] which led to Sean abducting Amy, [23] although she was returned to Roxy, by Sean's sister Stacey, on New Year's Day.

Ronnie decided Amy should be christened and Roxy agreed. Amy's godfather is Christian Clarke and her godmother is her step-grandmother Dot Branning, although her aunt Ronnie was originally meant to be her godmother, but got drunk and turned up late to the ceremony.

He reappeared taking her out on a date on 28 December. Then in January 2009, Danielle discovered she was pregnant and met Paul to tell him but backed out when he told her that he already had a girlfriend.

Paul re-appeared on 2 March 2009 at an '80s theme night at R&R. He bumped into Danielle and her friend Stacey Slater, and offered to buy them a drink. Stacey later revealed to Paul that Danielle had aborted his baby. This made him feel guilty and realised that he should have supported her. Later he had a heart to heart with Stacey and told her about how he felt. However this led to them kissing, while a heartbroken Danielle looked on.

He then later appeared when Stacey and Danielle were in the club with some boys Paul knew. Danielle spilt her drink on one of the boys and Paul appeared offering to buy her another one. At first she refused but then after Stacey butted in, she accepted his offer. When Stacey went outside to take a call from her mum, Paul talked to Danielle and apologized for the way he had behaved. He then walked her to the bar and confronted her about her abortion. He thanked her because he believed he was too young to be a dad. Danielle realised Stacey told him and threw her drink at Paul. This was the last time he appeared on-screen, since Danielle died in a road accident in April 2009.

Kirsty "Dotty" Cotton, played by Molly Conlin, is the daughter of Nick Cotton. John Altman, who plays Nick, described Dotty as "a chip off the old block". [24] Dotty was the result of a one-night stand that Nick had with an alcoholic woman named Sandy.

Later, Dot suspects her granddaughter may be just as evil as her father, So she plants some tablets on the kitchen table whilst Dotty has her back turned. Dot leaves the room, and then spies Dotty ignoring the tablets and pinching a chocolate biscuit instead. While practicing for the nativity, Dotty causes trouble for ( Mo Harris) by being naughty, But vows to be good when 'Father Christmas' takes a visit to the community centre.

Dot holds a birthday party for Dotty, inviting Tiffany Dean and Liam Butcher, but they do not want to go. Dot tells Dotty that a lot of people cancelled. When Dotty looks out of the window, she waves at Tiffany, who pokes out her tongue. The next day, Tiffany tells Dotty she is not invited to her birthday party.

When her mother Sandy arrives, Dotty is delighted and Dot tells Dotty she should go with her mother. They say an emotional goodbye, and Dot says she can visit at any time.
