Lirdaf ( Persian: ليردف) [a] is a city in, and the capital of, Lirdaf District of Jask County, Hormozgan province, Iran. [4] As a village, Lirdaf was the capital of Surak Rural District [5] until its capital was transferred to the village of Sedij. [6]
At the 2006 census, its population was 662 in 130 households, when it was a village in Piveshk Rural District. [7] The following census in 2011 counted 1,159 people in 261 households. [8] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,734 people in 451 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district. [2]
After the census, the village of Lirdaf was elevated to the status of a city. [4]
