Mythimna prominens is a moth of the family Noctuidae. It was described by Francis Walker in 1856. It is found on Malta and in Greece, France, the Iberian Peninsula and Italy. [1] Outside of Europe, it is found in Morocco, [2] the Republic of the Congo, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Réunion, Madagascar, Nigeria, South Africa and Zimbabwe. [3]

This species has a wingspan of 28–36 mm [4] and the larvae feed on Lilium species, including Lilium multiflorum.
