Stevens won the Amateur Boxing Association 1971 heavyweight title, when boxing out of the Reading Boxing Club. [2] [3]
He represented England in the -91 kg heavyweight division, at the 1970 British Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh, Scotland. [4] [5] [6]
He turned professional on 13 September 1971 [7] and fought in 27 fights until 1979. [8]
