Leporinus acutidens is a species of anostomid fish. It is found in the Amazon River basin and Guiana rivers in South America. It has also been reported from Argentina. [2]
Leporinus acutidens can reach a standard length of 33.0 centimetres (13.0 in). [2]
Females become sexually mature after two year and males after one year. They reproduce between November and March and females can produce from 100,000 to 200,000 eggs when spawning. [2]
