Kymmendö (Swedish pronunciation: [ˈɕʏ̂mːɛnˌdøː]) [1] is an island in the south of the Stockholm archipelago. Kymmendö is the model for the fictional island Hemsö in August Strindberg's novel The People of Hemsö. [2]
