Tay Foo Wei ( Chinese: 郑福威; pinyin: Zhèng Fúwēi, born 4 June 1982), better known as Kurt Tay, is a Singaporean online personality and wrestling enthusiast.
At the age of 27, Tay travelled to Bangkok, Thailand to have breast implants. [1] He removed them after 3 years. [2]
Tay studied in the Normal (Academic) stream in secondary school, however he only passed two subjects in his GCE 'O' Level examinations. After secondary school, he enrolled in the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) but dropped out after about a month. [3]
In 2010, Tay founded his own company, "4ever Escort Agency" in Yishun, Singapore. However, Tay claims that the business went under shortly after, citing fierce competition and gambling losses as the causes. [4]
In 2012, he produced a music video titled "Li Ni Er Qu" ( Chinese: 离你而去; pinyin: Lí Nǐ Ér Qù, [5] composed by his colleague at KBox. [6]
In 2013, Tay created a Youtube channel with his own name. As of February 2024, he has accumulated over 5,000 followers and posted over 12,000 videos. [7]
On 1 November 2023, Tay was charged in the State Courts of Singapore for allegedly distributing an intimate photo and video of a woman performing a sex act without the woman's consent, sending them to users in Telegram and in two chat groups. Tay alleged that the woman had leaked private videos of him, which motivated him to retaliate. [8] [9] He returned to court on 16 November to face the charges. [10]
On 11 December, it was announced that Tay would be facing more charges. Tay also hired a lawyer, Rohit Kumar Singh from Regal Law. [11] On 10 January, his additional charges were read out, including a harassment charge. [9]
On multiple occasions, Tay was heckled when he emerged from the State Courts' front doors. [12] [11] [10] Through his lawyer, Tay mentioned that the harassing and heckling had caused grief to his family, and he would be making police reports. [9]
In 2013, Tay married Kim Ngan. They had a son in 2018 and a daughter in 2021. [13]
