It is located in the northeast of the oblast. The area of the district is 690.9 square kilometers (266.8 sq mi).[ citation needed] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Korsakovo. [1] Population: 4,798 ( 2010 Census); [2] 5,586 ( 2002 Census). [6] The population of Korsakovo accounts for 30.3% of the district's total population. [2]
