Korit ( Persian: كريت) [a] is a village in, and the capital of, Nakhlestan Rural District of the Central District of Tabas County, South Khorasan province, Iran. [4]
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 3,122 in 873 households, when it was in Yazd province. [5] The following census in 2011 counted 3,446 people in 1,021 households. [6] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 3,081 people in 1,001 households, by which time the county had been separated from the province and become a part of South Khorasan province. [7] It was the most populous village in its rural district. [2]
