Kitnówko [kitˈnufkɔ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Świecie nad Osą, within Grudziądz County, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-central Poland. [1] It lies approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) south of Świecie nad Osą, 24 km (15 mi) south-east of Grudziądz, and 53 km (33 mi) north-east of Toruń. It is located in Chełmno Land within the historic region of Pomerania.
History
During the German occupation of Poland ( World War II), Kitnówko was one of the sites of executions of Poles, carried out by the Germans in 1939 as part of the Intelligenzaktion. [2]
