Khoubaib Kouas (Arabic: كواس خبيب), better known under the name Khoubai (born 1994), is an Algerian videographer specialized in the field of tourism.
Khoubai was born in Constantine, Algeria. [1] Although he studied economics at the University of Constantine, Khoubai did not wish to work in that field. Instead, his passion for travel led him to focus on creating tourism-related content.
In 2019, Khoubai was invited to participate in the second edition of the Sadeem program, a competition show among different content creators aimed at guiding them and selecting the best among them. [2]
In 2021, a social media campaign was launched to support Khoubai and boost his number of subscribers, aiming to surpass the one-million mark on Instagram. [3] In just 36 hours, his subscribers jumped from 387,000 to 943,000, [4] and the following day, he successfully reached one million. [5] Algerian Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Start-ups, and Micro-enterprises, Yacine Oualid, participated in the campaign by posting a message on social media. [6]
During the 2021 Arab Cup, his videos gained attention, to the extent that he was received by a member of parliament for a collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism. [7]
