Khaled bin Musaed bin Saif bin Abdulaziz Al-Saif ( Arabic: خالد بن مساعد بن سيف بن عبد العزيز السيف; 1953 – 18 February 2024) was a Saudi businessman and the father of Princess Rajwa Al Hussein. [1] He was the head of the Al Saif Group, which works in the fields of health, care, and construction. [2]
The Al-Saif family descends from the sheikhs of the town of Al-Attar in Sudair, [3] [4] of the Subai tribe. [5] Al-Saif married his wife, Azza Al Sudairi, and they had four children. [6]
Al Saif graduated from the American University of Beirut with a degree in civil engineering and founded Al Seif Engineering Contracting. [5] [7]
Al-Saif is the father of Princess Rajwa Al Hussein ( née Al Saif), wife of Jordanian crown prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, who is the son of the king of Jordan, Abdullah II bin Al Hussein. [8] [9] [10]
Al-Saif died on 18 February 2024, at the age of 71. [11] Crown Prince Hussein also shared a tribute to his father-in-law on his Instagram account. [12] In response to his death, the Royal Hashemite Court, acting on King Abdullah's orders, announced three days of mourning starting 18 February. [13]
