The Karrayyu (also Kerrayu, Karrayyuu) are an Oromo clan inhabiting the Awash Valley banks of Abadir and Merti area in central Ethiopia. [1] They are pastoralists. [2] Karrayyu neighbor the Afar and Argobba people. [3] It is believed the extinct Harla ethnicity were assimilated into Karrayyu Oromo in eastern Shewa. [4] [5] [6]
