Josh Simmons (born December 26, 2002) [1] is an American football offensive tackle for the Ohio State Buckeyes. He previously played for the San Diego State Aztecs.
Simmons was born in San Diego, California where he attended high school at Helix. Simmons was rated as a four star recruit, and committed to play college football at San Diego State University. [2] [3]
In Simmons first career season in 2022, he started all 13 games for the Aztecs, appearing on 799 snaps. [4] [5] After the conclusion of the 2022 season, Simmons decided to enter the NCAA transfer portal to continue out the rest of his college career elsewhere. [6]
Simmons transferred to the Ohio State University. [7] [8] Simmons entered the 2023 season as the Buckeyes starting left tackle after beating out Tegra Tshabola for the job. [9] [10]
