John Rickard FAHA is Emeritus Professor of History at Monash University. [1] Rickard won the prestigious Ernest Scott Prize in 1988 for his book Australia: A Cultural History.

Career

Before becoming an historian Rickard was an actor and singer. [2]

Rickard was elected a Fellow of the Australian Academy of the Humanities in 1991. [3]
