John Coote Duggan (7 April 1918 – 20 July 2000 [1]) was the 11th Bishop of Tuam, Killala, and Achonry from 1970 to 1985. [2]
Educated at The High School, Dublin and Trinity College, Dublin [3] and ordained in 1942, [4] his first post was a curacy at St Luke's, Cork. [5] He was later the incumbent at Portarlington, then St Paul's Glenageary, Dublin [6] and finally (before his ordination to the episcopate) Archdeacon of Tuam.
