John Adames (also known as Juan Adames, [1] born 1972) is an American former child actor who played Phil Dawn, a six-year-old rescued from mobsters who killed his family, in the 1980 movie Gloria. [2] [3] Adames' performance was criticized by reviewers, [1] and he is known for being the recipient of the very first Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Supporting Actor in 1980, which he shared with Laurence Olivier for his role in The Jazz Singer. [4] He did not have any subsequent film roles. [5]
