Jodi Cobb is an American photographer, living in Washington, D.C. [1] [2] She was named White House Photographer of the Year in 1985, and has received awards from Pictures of the Year International, [3] World Press Photo [4] and the National Press Photographers Association.
Education
Cobb received a Master of Arts and Bachelor of Journalism degrees from the University of Missouri, and an honorary Doctor of Fine Arts from the Corcoran College of Art and Design. [1]
Life and work
She was the only woman on staff photographer in National Geographic history [5] and has been featured in over 30 National Geographic stories. Her work has brought her to over 60 countries, including China, where she was one of the first photographers to travel across the country. [6] [7] [8]
