Jerome A. Munson (15 April 1955 – 6 April 2023) was an American politician, who served as mayor of Rapid City, South Dakota from 2001 to 2003. [1]
Munson was born on 15 April 1955 in Rapid City, South Dakota to Dr. H. Ben Munson and May Munson. [2] He graduated in 1973 from Stevens High School, and attended Malcaster College. [2] He started his own company in 1982 and in 1984 he founded Munco incorporated. [3] [2]
He ran for mayor twice, before being elected in 2001. He served as mayor from 2001 to 2003. [4] After he retired he volunteered in various places in Rapid City. [2]
He died on 6 April 2023, nine days before his 68th birthday. [2] [4]
