The Interlaken Fire is an active wildfire burining near Twin Lakes, Colorado in Lake County, Colorado, United States. The fire began due to an unattended campfire. [1] It has so far burned a total of 731 acres (296 ha) and is 86% contained. [2]

The Interlake Fire was first reported on June 11, 2024, at around 2:01 pm MDT. [2]

Closures

On June 14, 2024, the United States Forest Service closed the Twin Lakes and several surrounding areas including Twin Lakes day use areas, Dexter Campgroungs and the disperesed camping areas near the Twin Lakes Dam. [3]
